Qui suis-je ?
Grégoire Vaillant is a french composer, producer and artistic director passionate about art. He started music at age 5, studying jazz & classical in French conservatories. He created his first band at 11. Craving for other territories than institutional learning, he switched to electronic and indie at 20, rapidly developing his own voice. Grégoire had the chance to be involved in outstanding collaborations. From the foundation of Moongaï, touring across Europe and releasing albums with Warner Music, to the direction of a collaborative pop symphony for the Centennial of WW1 in Liverpool ; from collaborations with the Manchester Camerata Orchestra to the musical direction of hundreds of comedians for gigantic open-air shows ; from regular collaborations with international pop artists such as Dj Snake or 20syl to the meeting of traditional Indian Music masters ; from motion-picture compositions to screenwriting. Vaillant also produced and helped French bands to develop, and regularly share his knowledge during conferences or teaching programs. As an obsessive creator, he is always developing personal projects. He is the founder of « The Øpera Collective », a multi-disciplinary European union of creatives people from digital arts to theater, film or chamber music. They produce large scale original & experimental shows about our time. He notably co-wrote composed and directed « Le Jeune Homme & la Nuit » a 2h Transmedia Opera. « Abraham Fogg » is an electronica project inspired by classic horror films with a modern Live A/V. « The Happiness of Being Sad » is a collection of work for Piano and String Ensemble inspired by poetry. Vaillant is also passionate about screenplays as a writer and as a reader. Grégoire loves new collaborations and exciting projects. He can bring you a vision, knowledge, an organization, and a team to help develop your project. From music supervision to original composition or complete executive production, he is surrounded by a wonderful team of professionals ready to serve you.
